Lilah & Louie

The color of this bear is a little on the wild side for me ;) I prefer natural colored bears. But the fabric was staring at me..so I thought 'What the heck'.. So after hours of sewing ..stuffing and scissor trimming...out came little Lilah. I made her some fancy glittery wings and a little needle felted friend Louie.
I am so smitten that I may just have to buy some more fabric in a rainbow of colors.... =)

New Design...A Miniature SKUNK.. PePe

A tiny little Skunk. He measures 2.25 inches standing and 2 inches sitting. My pattern resembled a dinosaur ..I was doodling on some paper and out came little Skunky (aka PePe) . I had just enough black fabric ... It is a lovely long pile vintage piece and I used a slightly longer fabric for the white. I gave have him curved wired paws. A white belly.. A two tone tail. White accented eyes. Brown ultrasuded foot pads and a brown hand embroidered nose. He is difficult to photograph due to his size and color but I hope you can appreciate his detailing.

New design... Needle felted and clay baby monkey.

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately ..probably too much.. But I was thinking about my favorite childhood stuffed animal.. It is similar to a munchichi. This little monkey could suck his thumb...and obviously I did that too much as the plastic is torn near its mouth.
A few years ago I was determined to find this little monkey...I did internet and ebay searches and could not find one exactly  like him. My brother would find similar ones and give them to me as gifts. Then on my birthday my dad presented me with my long lost little monkey. He had been hiding in the crawl space of the home I grew up in.  Happily  reunited he now sleeps in my bed every night.
Inspired by him..I made my little bear one. It is a new design of half clay and half needle felting.

Miniature Bear and Tiny Bunny Duo

I just completed this little duo. This little bear was hand sewn from frosty brown sassy bear fabric.  I did a lot of scissor trimming to bring out her innocent expression. She looks a bit worried. She has a tiny bunny friend sewn from medium pile cream fabric. Bunny has a pink nose and tiny bow.
